This Sensor head was specifically designed to accommodate glass panels and is equipped with Teflon® pole faces to prevent damage to the coating. The large 7.5 mm gap accommodates most of the glass substrates being coated today, and the long reach allows a 2 foot panel to be fully analyzed. Also, due to the fact that this head is extremely rigid, accuracy is assured in cases where samples may cause gap deflection during measurement.

The Model 9C150 is used for the evaluation of curved CRT screen coating conductance. The reading variation in the center 50% of the air gap is ± 3%. This sensor head, because of its large gullet, is also well adapted for the measurement of large flexible substrates that can be rolled into the area of the overhanging arm. The extremely rigid beam assures accuracy in cases where samples may cause gap deflection during measurement.

The 6F150 Large Gap Sensor Head is used for the measurement of flat ITO coated surfaces and energy control materials deposited on thick glass substrates. The reading variation of this sensor head is ± 1% in the center third of the air gap, and ± 5% within the center two-thirds of the gap. An 8 inch reach sensor is also available as an option.
